Product Overview

Pecan’s wear layer is constructed from 4-millimeter solid European Oak hardwood and its core is comprised of two to nine-layer plywood. European Oak flooring is one of the most sought after hardwood choices in the US. All of these layers combined to result in a 5/8″(15mm) total plank thickness and each plank measuring to 8-5/8” in width.

Each box of Pecan contains 31.3 square feet of engineered hardwood. Wire bristles are used to remove the softer grain within the wood, which accentuates the harder grain and creates a beautifully textured surface with added character. Our flooring is constructed from layers of plywood, topped by a solid European Oak veneer.

      Hello Tracy,

We appreciate your interest in our products and as for the Pecan, it is only available in a 4mm veneer but it is available in a lacquer finish.

Please let us know if you would like to see samples of this floor.

      Thank You

  2. Question

    Angela

I received the samples of the pecan floors. Thank you. My question is in the marketing pictures of the pecan flooring, is that the oiled finish or the lacquer finish. I tend to like the darker lacquer. It tends to have more depth to it.

One more question. Will this floor darken with age/sun like some other floors do?

      Hello Angela,

The pictures show the finished oil product with the maintenance oil already applied which is why it has such depth and color.

The floor will get a darker, ‘wet wood’ appearance after it has been coated with the maintenance oil but this will help prevent it from getting affected by the sun.

      Thank you

Hi new to your flooring. Used to seeing urethane finishes on wood flooring. How do your floors hold up to dogs and how do they handle pet stains? Thanks.

      Hello Jim,

Lacquer is usually absorbed into the floor faster and forms a sturdier longer-lasting bond than when compared to a polyurethane finished floor.

This finish (Lacquer) is what we would suggest you stay with when compared to our Oil & lacquer finished floors, lacquer will hold off better with urine from pets and scratches. We would suggest coating the floor with Woca Lacquer Care after installing your floor (before your pets play on the floor) to minimize the number of scratches and stains that could be on the floor.

      Thank You

  3. Question

    Danielle Smith

Hi, I’m wondering if the lawyer finish is more scratch resistant than the oil. Also, can it be finished in a matte lacquer? Can I be sent a sample with the lacquer finish?
